It has been chilly, overcast and downright dreary lately! The leaves are quickly changing colors and making the scenery become more beautiful every day. The soybeans are drying down and will soon be threshed. The mosquitoes can rest in peace. Good riddance!
The only thing that seems to flourish is the lawn! I wish it wouldn't! It has been one LONG year of mowing, although teaching the girls to mow was one of the best ideas ever! As long as they stay out of the ditches, I am happy to let them drive around with their smiling faces on the mower. I never knew that children would actually battle each other to mow the lawn!
With the starting of school and the change in the weather, we have had the cold bug hit the house. That darn bug could stay away as well! Tis the season, I guess.
Once the fog leaves my head, I think it would be the perfect time of the year to go out and snap some pictures of the farm before the white stuff fluffs its way into our lives. I am hoping for one last blast of summer before that happens!
