When I bought the gingerbread kits, I never realized how tough of a decision I would have to make when it came time to judge the contest. Three little girls worked hard on their masterpieces while mom and dad did chores. They mixed the frosting per the instructions, included in the box and very carefully put thought and creativity into their little homes.
After each one was finished, not knowing which artist was responsible for each, I chose the winner, 2nd place, and 3rd place artists, which happened to rate from oldest to youngest. Luckily, mom is smart and bought 3 equal prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The 3 happy little artists were just fine with that! Aren't they beautiful?
